With the upcoming CSX Scenario Pack 02, you’ll experience realistic and challenging freight railroading on the B&O Mountain Subdivision: Cumberland - Grafton route; CSX Hanover Subdivision: Hanover - Hagerstown route; and Clinchfield Railroad: Elkhorn City - St. Paul route, and you’ll climb aboard four types of CSX second- and third-generation CSX diesel locomotives!

Coming soon from High Iron Simulations, CSX Scenario Pack 02 will bring the drama of CSX to Train Simulator with ten authentic career scenarios that re-create the railroading of CSX and its predecessors across the decades and on three popular Train Simulator routes! With a heavy train of coal off the Fairmont Subdivision, a trio of CSX EMD SD45-2s are eastbound on the legendary Mountain Subdivision at Trey Run, West Virginia.

Lugging empties back to the mines of West Virginia, a pair of behemoth CSX GE AC4400CWs are working west on the B&O Mountain Subdivision. With the upcoming CSX Scenario Pack 02, you’ll take the throttle of four types of potent CSX second- and third-generation GE and EMD CSX diesel locomotives.

A duo of CSX’s SD40-3 rebuilt diesels switch the massive paper manufacturing facility at Luke, Maryland on the B&O Mountain Subdivision route. The ten career scenarios of CSX Scenario Pack 02 will provide an opportunity to experience CSX freight railroading across the nearly four decades since the railroad was created in 1986 and right through the current era.

The upcoming CSX Scenario Pack 02 will also give you the chance to relive several of CSX’s memorable predecessor roads. On the Clinchfield route, a trio of EMD SD45-2s dressed in Family Lines and CRR liveries are pulling a heavy coal drag from McClure Mine (above), while on a snowy morn at Elkhorn City, Kentucky, a set of Chessie System diesels has just been cut off a coal drag and replaced with a set of black Clinchfield diesels (below).

Prior to both roads being rolled into CSX, the Seaboard Coast Line was the parent of the Clinchfield, and its power often visited the Appalachians. At St. Paul, Virginia, a Seaboard Coast Line EMD SD45-2 is on the point of CRR’s priority Train No. 97, the “Florida Perishable.”

At Bittinger, Pennsylvania, a pair of husky GEs – a AC6000CW and Dash 8-40CW – are about to couple onto a heavy “Rock Runner” stone train on the CSX Hanover route (above), while during an earlier era, CSX blue-and-gray clad SD45-2 8950 is working an eastbound manifest on the Hanover Subdivision at Raven Rock, Maryland (below).

A summer rain is falling as a pair of CSX SD40-3s grind west with CSX symbol freight D795 on the Hanover Subdivision near historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The ten career scenarios of CSX Scenario Pack 02 are based closely on actual railroad operations and train symbols.
